CNC Turned Parts, Round Parts Held to One Axis
Turning covers the parts that are round: shafts, bushings, collars, spindles, rings, brass fittings and spherical seats. They come off bar stock on CNC lathes, with flats, slots and cross-holes milled in the same setup on a turning-milling compound machine, and every batch ships with a dimensional inspection record.
Turned Parts Break Down Into Three Groups
All three are turned parts — in shop terms, rotational parts: diameters, shoulders, grooves, threads and bores that have to stay concentric to each other. Open a group to see representative parts and what we need to quote.
Turned Shafts & Bushings

Spherical & Curved Parts
Ball sockets, spherical seats and curved levers — turned and profiled across one axis.

Turning is the process for rotational parts, the group often called screw machine parts in older buying lists. We turn on CNC lathes and turning-milling compound machines, holding diameter, thread and bore concentricity to ±0.005 mm where the drawing asks for it, then measure every batch before it ships.
Turning to one centreline
Stepped diameters, shoulders, grooves, tapers, threads and bores, cut so the bore and the diameter that locates it stay concentric — the dimension that decides whether the part seats.
Mill-turn in one setup
Flats, slots, cross-holes and wrench features milled on the same turning-milling machine, so their position stays tied to the turned axis instead of being re-datumed in a second fixture.
Finishing on request
